The SAS
Band Gig at the Clapham Grand with special guest Roger Taylor,
6
December 2004
Oh
take me take me take me
To the dreamer's ball
I'll be right on time and I'll dress so fine
You're gonna love me when you see me
I won't have to worry
Take me take me
Promise not to wake me till it's morning
It's all been true
Brian May
(Dreamer's Ball)
I get to see Roger in the flesh
for the first time ever...!!!

Tonight,
we’re painting this town red
Tonight,
we legislate on blue
Tonight,
we paint your mother green
Act
out all our dreams, and we’ll celebrate me and you
Yeah
we’ll celebrate me and you….
Tonight,
with all things possible
Tonight,
we’ll fly beyond all cares
Tonight,
we’ll tear down all the walls, ride down waterfalls
And
we’ll celebrate me and you
Celebrate
me and you
Across
the skies, into the void, we’ll disappear
Celebrate
me and you
Yeah
we’ll celebrate me and you
Tonight
we’re drinking this town dry
Tonight,
we’ll see the tables turned
Tonight,
we’ll see our bridges burned
Tonight,
we’re painting this town red
Tonight,
we’ll see the tables turned
Tonight
we’re painting this town red
Tonight…

Info
from Vernon
Well,
for me the gig got going from the very first song – and the writer
clearly missed me rocking to ‘Tie Your Mother Down’!!! He also
doesn’t know about THIS Queen fan who was among the guests. I also met
a lovely couple who were big SAS Band fans and had a magical
evening…REALLY like a dream…
Unfortunately,
my pictures didn't come out that brilliantly. For me in the blue 'Abba'
catsuit I wore on the night, see bottom of page.

(You can JUST see Roger on this one!!!)
I had a letter from the Rainbow
Trust stating that the event had raised £35,000!!!
